It's Monday.
So, it's that time again!
--This week's Interactive Post--

Let's play "Shuffle, Shuffle"!
Whether you have an iPod (we saw many last week lurking in your purses!), a Zune, a Zen, a something else, or you're just listening off iTunes.
Hit SHUFFLE and tell us the FIRST 10 SONGS that play...
Easy-Cheesy!
You don't have to submit any pics this week--unless you want to-- just reply in the comments and list your songs and artists and maybe a small blurb on WHY that song is on your device!
collages made at picnik.com
1. Cry Me a River- Justin Timberlake:
"Ooh, there was a day I didn't even bat an eye at JT--you know when he was all 'Nsync-y-- but then that boy went and did a solo album, looked all GQ, got his funny on at SNL, and turned out to be one helluva talented guy. I have all his stuff, not gonna lie."
2. The Way We Get By- Spoon:
"Spoon is an Austin band, so I claim them. I admit to coming into Spoon love later than I should have as an Austin native but I'm here now and I ain't going no where. GREAT band! Look them up if you've never heard of them. You won't regret it."
3. Please Don't Leave Me- Pink:
"I can't help that I have a girl-crush on Pink. She's like a force of nature. I admire her IDGAF attitude and general bad-ass tendencies. Her last three albums have been poptastic fun. This song is all kinds of angst...prob. why I like it."
4. No One's Gonna Love You- Band of Horses:
"I love Band of Horses, I think many people do...they are kinda like the KoL of this year...everyone is figuring out they are awesome and their name is everywhere. I am excited they will contribute to the Eclipse sndtrk too. This song is like that song you wish you could hear your ex-bf sing to you once he figures out he was an idiot and you were always awesome."
5. Close to Me- The Cure
"I have three Cure songs on my iPod. I think I got two from my younger brother who fell in lurve with them because of a little girl he was all crazy about. I remember The Cure but I guess I was never into them. I like the three songs I have...IDK."
6. No One Knows- Queen of the Stone Age
"I always imagine Will Ferrel playing his cow bell and gyrating inappropriately when I hear this song. I watch too much SNL. Queens of the Stone Age also remind me of Dave Grohl...I think he produced/drummed/something in the beginnings of this band. I love Dave Grohl. But I digress--this is a great song. The End."
7. Daughters (Live)- John Mayer:
"I used to love John Mayer. I used to love his tattoos more. I still think he can play a guitar like no ones buisness and is a genuinely funny guy but his douchtastic ways have detered my lurve. Daughters is a classic. It's even better live. Meh."
8. Time Bomb- Old 97's:
"I first heard this song in a little indie Joaquin Phoenix film called Clay Pigeons. The film also starred Vince Vaughn...the same song and the band itself would later turn up in The Break-Up. So, I am guessing Vince Vaughn is a fan. This is one of those songs that gives you energy and you can sing all loud and out of tune."
9. How You Like Me Now?- The Heavy:
"I was both pissed and excited when this song turned up in that car commercial. My epic lurve of The Heavy can be credited to @ShoeWhoreNinja. She emails me music every now and then, this song was one she sent many moons ago. I then went on a hunt for more of their stuff. I wuv u Ash!"
10. Irreplaceable- Beyonce:
"Who the hell doesn't like Beyonce? Even if her music isn't for you, there is still her fashion sense, her do no wrong hair, her winning personality, the fact that she is Mrs. HOVA, she's a Texan, and her bootylicious body. I might have a bit of a girl-crush on B too..."
You don't have to write novels about each song (like I did) but tell us a little something about them.
Hit shuffle and tell us your first 10 songs that play.
I am really suprised that no country music came up on mine or Brit Pack stuff...
So, now it's your turn!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I wish he'd do a new one.

Love it!!!
LOL- "don't judge"... never, bb, never...I have a Miley Cyrus (or two) tucked away in there too...
Ok here goes:
1. I Caught Myself - Paramore. What can I say, I'm a Twi fan.
2. Into The Night - The Motorhomes. I heard this song on the trailer for The Summer House and I loved it.
3. Adagio for Strings - DJ Tiesto. I love me sone good dance music.
4. Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley. Just too damn good to not have on my iPod
5. Meet Me On The Equinox - Death Cab for Cutie. LOL see number 1

7. There You Go - Pink. I really like Pink
8. Perfect - Hedley Damn good Canadian band!
9. This is War - 30 Seconds To Mars I just like it
10. I'll Be Your Lover Too - Robert Pattinson I think this requires no explanation. I laughed my ass off at the irony of this song just making it into this list.
Ok here you go folks! I have super eclectic tastes but my shuffle has given me me mostly home (British) artists! I'd recommend giving no 10a spin if you haven't heard it - too fucking cute!
1. Paint your target - Fightstar
2. McFearless - Kings of Leon
3. Girls & Boys in love - Rumble Strips
4. On your wings - Iron & Wine
5. Prelude in E Minor - Chopin
6. She's got you high - Mumm-Ra
7. Howl - Florence & The Machine
8. White Blank Page - Mumford & Sons.
9. Twelve - Foward Russia!
10. Anyone else but you - Michael Cera & Ellen Page (Juno Soundtrack)
– I just want to say that on my player I have pretty much every single song I own. it is no objective picture of what I'm listening to atm. That being said.. let's get on with the embarrassment:
1. Waterloo – Abba (what can I say? my sister and I have had an obsession with Abba ever since we were babys. no idea why. my parents don't (and didn't!) even like them that much…lol. I'm glad we start out with a song I actually listen to! cause I'm sure theres not much of those to come up on shuffle when theres 6 GB of music -.-)
2.The Pusher – Blind Melon (I'm pretty sure I've never ever even listened to that song. I downloaded one Blind Melon song ('Soul One' or something?) when I was watching The O.C. ..)
3.Blew – Nirvana (well everybody HAS to have a minimum amount of Nirvana songs on their player, come on! although there is nothing special I relate to this one. it just sneaked on there with the usual ones I guess :) )
4. Feels Like Home – Sarah McLachlan (*blushes* yeah.. well.. see comment on the very top. Also, City Of Angels? who did NOT cry or see it at least once? .. I'll stop making excuses and move on to..)
5. Feeling Good – Muse (I'm not rly a Muse fan anymore – Stephenie Meyer ruined it for me. Also the gay sunglasses in the Undisclosed Desires video. seriously!?)
6. Die Tränen sind immer noch deine – Anajo (a mildly famous – at least in Austria and Germany ;) – German band. the title says " the tears are still yours" .. whatever. lol)
7. Like A Prayer – Erdbeerlimes feat. Madonna (this remix rooocks. if you want to dance – listen to it :) also, Erdbeer = strawberry. come to think of it – why is it a German name? is the 'band' German? whatever. Madonna is good for dancing although I don’t rly like her.)
8. Whatever Gets You Through Today – The Radio (didn't even remember that was on there! oh well…)
9. Denkmal – Wir sind Helden (another German song but this was actually amazing! it was like the number one song in Germany + Austria forEVER 5 years ago I think. listen to it, you might like the tune even if you don't get the lyrics.. it's kind of alternative/indie)
10. Love is no big Truth – Kings of Convenience ( I LOVE THEM. that band is so cool.. listen to: 'I'd rather dance with you' – and watch the video! sooo cute.)
So what did we find out? Not a single song I actually listen to at the moment - that’s just bad luck! Also: I should seriously consider sorting out the mess that is my player. I mean it must be a bad sign if there is so much music and nothing pops up that I seem to like .. or know. *hangs head in shame*
this is the first interactive post i'm contributing sth to! yes :))
i love them btw. ;)
Away we go...
1. A White Demon Love Song - The Killers (Yeah, the New Moon soundtrack...'nuff said. LOL)
2. Shining Star - Backstreet Boys (DO NOT judge me. LOL I have loved them ever since I was 15.)
3. Wake Up Call - Marcelo Zarvos (From the Remember Me score :D )
4. Build God, Then We'll Talk - Panic! At the Disco (Yeah, I have no explanation for this one. Hah.)
5. The River - Good Charlotte (They were always one of my fave punk/rock bands.)
6. Something More - Aly & AJ (This is almost too embarrassing to admit. I almost cheated and skipped this song. LOL)
7. Paddle Jumper - Michael Giacchino (From the Season 3 Lost soundtrack. My fave show ever.)
8. Firesign - Juke Kartel (Seriously kickass band from Australia. Check them out if you get a chance. Doesn't hurt that Toby, the lead singer, is HOT.)
9. Break The Ice - Britney Spears (Let's face it, her songs are fun to dance to.)
10. Days Go By - Keith Urban (I like very little country, but Keith Urban is def one of my faves.)
I am LOVING these interactive posts!!! Such a brilliant idea, Ang...but coming from you, I am not surprised! Here is the contribution from the music nerd:
1. All Mixed Up-311 (I love that this came up first because this takes me back to high school. One can NEVER go wrong with some 311 on their iPod)
2. Sugar Will-Dave Matthews Band (if you know me, you know how much I LOVE DMB...they were my first musical obsession and still maintain constant play in any playlist I have. It's like home when I listen to them.)
3. I Can't Stay-The Killers (kind of an obscure song, but one I love nonetheless...of course I pretty much love any of their songs. Their albums are those that I can put on and listen to the entire thing from beginning to end!)
4. Labels or Love-Fergie (yeah yeah...it was on the SATC Movie soundtrack and I actually love this song. It is super girlie and just plain fun...but not something I would normally listen to)
5. Forever Your Girl-Paul Abdul (oh hell yes....before she went batshit crazy, she was the COOLEST singer of the 80s/90s! This reminds me of making up dances in my basement as a kid...oh yeah!)
6. Pig-Dave Matthews Band (see...I had a feeling another DMB song would pop up...and it is BY FAR my favorite song EVER....yes out of any other song, by any other band...if you haven't heard it, I seriously suggest downloading it because it has very meaningful lyrics...so much so I want one of the lyrics tattooed somewhere on me "Don't Burn the Day, Away" very carpe diem)
7. Arizona-100 Monkeys (kind of a random song, but one that I love to rock out too on a sunny day with my windows rolled down)
8. Action Man-Widespread Panic (this is a band that I have realized NOT a lot of people have heard of. They are a jam band that has a HUGE following and they hail from my (college) hometown ATHENS, GA (Go Dawgs!) If you are into "jam band" type music...or just talented musicians...I suggest checking them out)
9. Arizona-Kings of Leon (I think my iPod is trying to tell me something...maybe I need to go to Arizona...again another rare song from KoL but a mellow one at that....and another band I love pretty much all their songs...espeically the older ones)
10. Penance Fire Blues-Bobby Long (I was beginning to get concerned BL wouldn't come up on my list but he slid in there at the last second...and a GREAT song...I especially love hearing it live with "Hoochie Coochie Man")
So there you go...funny that it encompasses my entire life in 10 songs...from my childhoood (Paula Abdul) to high school (311) to college (DMB) to NOW (Bobby Long/100M) and everywhere in between!
That was super fun! What's next?!?!
xoxo,
b
Um... that ass shot? Srs bzns. #dead
So here's mah randomized playlist:
1. Mariah Carey - Close My Eyes
This is from Mariah's album "Butterfly" which I seriously think is THE best album she ever put out - ya know, pre-catastrophic "Glitter"... back when she was actually a great vocalist.
2. People In Planes - Vampire
I first heard this song when GQRob'09 came out. Someone used it as the background song for a slideshow of the pics on YouTube. It reminds me of that photoshoot. 'Nuff said.
3. Limp Bizkit - Take A Look Around
I was into Limp Bizkit when I was in middle school... I have nothing else to say.

9. T.I. - Ready For Whatever
This says it all - "If you ain't walked a mile in my shoes and you ain't lived a day in my life. You ain't survive the shit I done survived. You ain't had to deal with the shit I done had to deal with homeboy, you can't motherfuckin' judge me, partner. In order to understand my train of thought you'll have to put yourself in my position. You can't expect me to think like you cause my life ain't like yours."
Miley Cyrus - Party In The USA
Stop judging me. :P It came out right before I went to LA for NM Premiere last year so I kind of fell in love with it.

8.Notion - Kings Of Leon (OMG! Kings OF Leon again! urgh!! One Of my faves by them!)
9.Breakfast After 10 - Blue October (Blue October again!! lol -seriously, I DO have more bands and singers on here.. ah well)
10.I'm Blue - Eiffel 65 (Finally something different! I first heard it while playing on IMVU, 2 years ago! I've loved it since!)
Oh, no. Am I the only one who doesn't like Beyonce? I'm scared to death that the new director for BD will cast her as Zafrina because of their connection in Dream Girls. *ducks* Sorry, girlie! I do love Pink, though!!!
Is it wrong that I bought my iPod Touch for the sole purpose of having Robporn on it? No? Whew. Not surprisingly, then, these are the first 10 songs that come up in my list (excluding the audio MP3 files for the Twilight Saga books):
1) Roslyn - New Moon Soundtrack

6. Hallelujah - Paramore
7. 1973 - James Blunt
8. Black Swan - We The Living
9. Beside You - Van Morrison
10. Ireland - Garth Brooks
Wow, I thought there would be at least one showtune or movie score on here!
Ghost Trains was a free download. I love going to free music sites, or to iTunes or Amazon.com and just download whatever is free. I can always delete it later if I hate it, right? I've found some amazing music that way.
Bobby Long - This is from his Live at Arlene's Grocery cd, that my darling VickyB got & had him autograph for Edward. So beautiful.
Bob Dylan - Every music player should have Dylan on it, IMHO. I am old enough to have heard this on the radio (FM, of course. This was too radical for AM!)
Sunny Jim White - This is a great example of Trop Rock. Jim is a friend of mine who plays the Buffett/ParrotHead circuit. He can also be seen & heard in the movie The Firm, playing Blame It on the Rum by the Grand Cayman pool.
The Fixx - I used to dance to this at the club. Yes, I am an 80's girl.
Paramore - As I see Hayley & Co. are on almost every playlist here, I'll just say that I love them, too!
James Blunt - His voice can get annoying, but I truly love his songs. I found 2 of his cds at Dollar Tree, and as I was debating whether I should even bother, You're Beautiful came on the in-store radio. I bought both.
We the Living - Another free download discovery. Fake Plastic Trees may be my favorite of theirs.
Van Morrison - I have mixed feelings about this one. I know it's one of Rob's favorites, and that is one reason I bought the album. The other reason is that I HAD this album years ago and never listened to it. Once or twice, I did, but I was into pop as a kid and I didn't have a clue as to what I had. Yeah, I had this in VINYL. *facepalm* In my fantasies, my old copy finds its way to a used record shop and He buys it. :)
Garth Brooks - I adore Garth. He's got a great voice. I especially love him as Chris Gaines. That is one of my favorite albums and it really showcases his range as a performer. This is a love song to Ireland and it's bloody history. It's my heritage and I feel the Gael in me rise when I listen.
This was fun! Thanks for the opportunity to see what everybody else is listening to.

A lot of Kings of Leon and Paramore!
Great tastes, guys!
;)
Okay first off... totally distracted by the Rob ass shot... OMG I've never seen it before! I don't usually go for naked bums but.. his I might.. *drool* Def saving that.. :D
1. We Weren't Born to Follow - Bon Jo vi. I love Bon Jovi! Enough said and this song is such an anthem.
2. Hush Hush - The Spill Canvas. I just love the singer :) Their whole album this song is on was on repeat for me for weeks when I first got it. It's about lies and cheating and not being ignorant to what's going on.
3. Let It Rock - Kevin Rudolf. It is catchy.. and I like to dance to it!
4. Extra Smooth - Allah. Oh I'm a long time Aaliyah fan. That girl was talented and her life was cut short wayyyyy before her time. I have all her music on my mp3 player. Grew up with it.
5. How Bizarre - OMC. Haha this is one of those crazy 90's songs I just rediscovered and I love it!
6. Her Name Is Alice - Shine down. Duh Alice in Wonderland :) Almost Alice cd. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland. Oh and Shinedown. Met them twice, they are the coolest!
7. Eyes On Fire - Blue Foundation. Twilight Soundtrack duh! The only one I've listened to in full and love all the songs on it.
8. About Us - Brook Hogan. Ok. Slightly embarrassed this one came up.. lol another dance song
9. Lobster Bucket - The Aquabats. Omg The Aquabats are a riot! Friends in high school turned me onto them and this is my absolute fav. Brings back memories of blasting this and singing it with friends in the car in their cars in high school.
10. Crawling - Linkin Park. One of my favorite bands! And this is the first song of theirs I ever heard.
